Bought bungalow at auction and not as described

Bought a bungalow in the UK at auction and the auction listing stated the bungalow construction was brick and block and the EPC recommended cavity fill. We shared the details with a financial advisor who informed we could get a second mortgage. My husband and I wanted an investment for the future and a property close to our home to move our mother in law into which we could slowly decorate and invest in for the future.
Turns out the bungalow is non-standard construction and we were not able to get a mortgage. We’ve had to sell our house and move in and we’ve spent thousands as the walls were all wet from the thin timber-frame.
Is there a possible redress for this issue which has cost us more than we would have paid - on the auction price and related costs and costs to bring it up to a standard level of insulated timber-frame??
