Update on the fuel theft if anyone’s interested - my man the man at the garage has welded a couple of screws across the pipe down from the filler neck with too small a gap to get a pipe through (size of a bic pen just fits) Will update if they manage to hack. They sometime force a hole through the mesh apparently.
Any idea how to stop fuel thefts on Lada Niva 1700?! Bought a samara lockable filler cap but they just jimmied it off (hopefully without leaving parts of it in the tank). Have looked into anti siphoning devices but can’t find any for cars really and reluctant to put a lock on the flap (like a letterbox lock) as they might just create more damage by forcing that open… Any advice greatly appreciated as am losing mind! Thanks!
