I graduated with an MPH with an Epidemiology concentration two years ago. I've been stuck teaching secondary education since the job market is terrible right now. I want to get into research so I can build my experience and hopefully get into a PhD program next year or so. I've applied to a temp research support position at the U of Minnesota, but they rejected me (I am guessing they rejected me because I am overqualified, even though I do not have a lot of research or work experience in public health). Any advice on how I can secure an opportunity in this current climate?
