I work in B2B sales closing enterprise deals for a SaaS company. I want to own something. Not a dropshipping store. Not Amazon FBA. Not a 'start a marketing agency' play. I want something with real software multiples. The kind of business that could sell at 5-10x ARR. Anyone in a similar spot? What did you actually do?

Keep seeing 'startup studio' pop up where they build a product then bring in an operator/founder to run it. Sounds too good to be true? What's the catch? Has anyone done this? What did equity look like? How much support post-launch? It feels like another 'pay us money and we'll make you a founder' scam.
