TRV refused
My dad’s visa application was refused. This is what’s on the letter.
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you
have provided in your application.
For context:
My parents both applied. Purpose of travel - Family visit and tourism. Length of stay will be 2 months. I intentionally wanted them to stay this long to make sure that the tour part will be manageable and appropriate for their age. I’m trying to avoid a fully packed week because they are retired seniors.
They provided their own financials, $43k combined.
Proof of ties are pension, property, and all my siblings and relatives back home.
When I checked my dad’s application, I noticed that the itinerary section was missing as part of his letter of intent and I worry that might be the reason for refusal.
We submitted a webform for my mom’s application to add that document because hers is still pending final decision.
My dad’s going to re-apply and I’m looking for an advice on how to address his refusal.
I really want them to come because for several years I was the one visiting them and now that I have a child, travelling got a bit complicated for me. I regret that we didn’t apply right when I gave birth to support me postpartum. They also missed my child’s 1st birthday.
