The Tale Before the Moon: Oroboros the Voracity
With 4.2 confirming that the Voracity will be a central plot in Planarcadia and maybe Astropolis, I'm here mostly to speculate on the timeline of events in Planarcadia before the Cinderath age (aka the arrival of the Destruction). Well... Not the most detailed one, just to point out parallels on a story I read in Divergent Universe.
[===========================================]
This theory comes from the "Moonlit Tales: Do Aeons Weep for Time?" in Divergent Universe: Arcadian Chronicles.
"Here, a pink-haired lady (presumably Evanescia) recounted a tale before the era of the Phantasmoon.
It was an era before the Destruction ever arrived... Even before the Elation blessed the land... It was a mostly recognised for its arts... Until the 'Serpent with a Hundred Heads' came from beyond the sky. It coiled around Planarcadia, on the verge of devouring everything in its venom..."
From my understanding... Planarcadia originally had a normal moon in its sky.
This "Serpent with a Hundred Heads" could be logically assumed to be Oroboros the Voracity, here to devour another planet under THEIR endless intemperance.
Or perhaps, merely one of THEIR mouths simply stumble upon this tiny planet.
[===========================================]
"The Kingdom of Stars sent their most powerful knights to defeat this evil once and for all.
The Lunar Knight severed its head while the Wax Knight melted its body. The Knights all played their part as they finally severed the last immortal head."
This kingdom may refer to a civilization before Benzaitengoku, who had "knights" to defend their home.
These knights must be immensely powerful to defeat Oroboros the Voracity. Though I think this actually just means they severed one THEIR many mouths that just so happen to reach this planet. Perhaps they had an Emanator of Beauty defending their home? This world is famous for its arts. Arts are also a fundamental aspect of Beauty, it's what express a person's inner subjective value.
But even a fragment of the Divine Corpus of an Aeon is fatal to any planet...
[===========================================]
"No one could have foreseen the corpse of the immortal serpent refused to die. Its fangs pierced the armour of the knight, and even the moon itself.
The Lunar Knight descent into madness, frenzy fueled by the very moonlight.
Doctors were summoned, yet none had a solution for such conundrums to heal the sick moon."
So it seems like the fragment of the Divine Corpus had a very negative impact on mortals. Perhaps, due to the Path of Voracity... The Lunar Knight was consumed by unending hunger, unable to suppress such intemperance.
I would like think that the doctors here refer to the Doctors of Chaos because there are a lot of similarity of the Voracity and the Nihility... At least, the Doctors of Chaos try their best to bring back reason and meaning onto a Self-Annihilator. Perhaps they could help?
Unfortunately, healing such sickness inflicted by the Divine Corpus is utterly futile to mere Pathstriders. It's like trying to heal Blade of Shuhu's flesh but worse.
Fortunately, the Laughter seems to take interest of this planet after managing to sever fragments from an Aeon.
(This is a monumental achievement for them, it took Phainon a lot to scratch Nanook and this world also scratch an Aeon. But I digress, maybe the mouths of Oroboros are more physical in nature and therefore much easier to sever.)
[===========================================]
"Suddenly one day, a ship made of ice creams, donuts and cakes flew straight into the moon.
By the show's laughter, it drew in the sprites of mountain, water, earth, and sky. One after another, they leaped into the lake, passed through the mirror of its surface, and entered the very heart of the moon.
The Lunar Knight reclined sideways upon the curtain, letting out occasional guffaw (laughter)."
I speculated that this ship is the same crashed ship seen on the Phantasmoon, just stuck there. It carried a massive amount of Imaginary Energy from the Path of Elation and the most enchanting branch from the ethereal garden of Yaoshi the Abundance.
Through this ridiculous method, Aha the Elation blessed the land and merge the Lunar Knight with the moon itself. And transplant the branch into the moon to become the Panarch Elwood and eventually Evanescia. Such a dubious way to cure it with laughter, to satisfy that endless hunger with abundant joy. Whilst also entrapping the fragments of the Divine Corpus within the moon. Which I think the Phantasmoon Courtyard is on the dark side of the Phantasmoon.
But I also wanted to add... That the ship may also carried a Stellaron within it. The Stellaron responded with the Path of Elation, harmonising with it to create what we now know as Wishpower. Which is why Imagenesis looked a lot like Dreamweaving. The Harmonic Cancer is the catalyst and anchor for desires.
Thus born the first Imagenae, the Phantasmoon. A sentient Moon that revels in all manners of Elation.
Along with it the ancient era of Benzaitengoku. Including Great Strangelings like Thundercoil and Kraken the Tavern Owner.
(P.S. During the 4.2 boss fight, Fulwich mentioned how the Trailblazer use the Stellaron to siphon Wishpowers into themself.)

But before I end this theory, I would like to direct your attention to another dubious tale told by Evanescia in 4.2...
"Eons ago, in the Master of Immortality (Yaoshi) mysterious ethereal garden, of which the flora were so abundant in such intensity that they suffocated all other life. A meddler (Aha) quietly sneaked into the garden, proceeding to plucked out the most enchanting and luxurious branch.
After that, Alter-ego Evanescia wandered the cosmos, guiding Elixir Seekers to a way they can get the elixir of life (immortality). Basically, Alter-ego Evanescia was practically an Emanator of Abundance who went undefeated safe for getting beat up by Marshal Hua.
The severed branch screamed in protest. For before being gifted with eternal life, she was a divine envoy leading her kin in search of the elixir of life. A beast of blind love and hatred, a sword dancer who devoured the Crimson Moon... So proud this girl was, never knowing defeat, safe for the Phoenix of the Xianzhou (Marshal Hua).
That meddler transplanted her to another world. Through such a method, THEY imprisoned the most horrifying horrors of this world within the annals of history..."
TLDR, Aha the Elation broke into Yaoshi the Abundance version of the Garden of Eden and pluck out Alter-ego Evanescia from the garden. Truly an Aha moment.
Back then, Alter-ego Evanescia was also an Elixir Seeker and actually was then gifted with eternal life. She, unlike the Xianzhou, never regretted her actions. Probably because she is compatible with the Abundance.
She got forced kidnapped by Aha to then be forcefully planted into another world which is Ahatopia. Out of sheer audacity, THEY promised her to teach what Elation is in exchange of staying her here... Which she agreed.
Through endless years of Phantasmoon Games, Alter-ego Evanescia was enlightened by the Elation into mortal desires and emotions, having her "Aha" moment. My best guess is that she will eventually relinquished most of her authority over the Abundance to be kept in the Panarch Elwood to keep at bay the fragments of the Voracity.
And then build herself a new identity, one that is "Evanescia". A girl who enjoys life for years to come. Infinite life, infinite joy.

Sidenote:
I do wonder if the Wax Knight could have transformed into Thundercoil which then can include him into the plot. Or maybe the knight is the ancestor of Graphia. Who knows.
