Adrenal PCOS hair loss, insomnia, hypoglycemia…please, help…
I am 34/F and I have regular menses (between 28-32 days on average). I am struggling with adrenal PCOS and insulin resistance. I have also dealt with hirsutism for about 10 years.
I have tried everything to help my adrenals including switching my job position a year ago. I suspect I was going through adrenal fatigue and burnout in my previous role for three years and was not nourishing or hydrating my body properly. I began to experience the dreaded 3 am wake ups in a panic and my cortisol was very dysfunctional at that time.
Fast forward a couple of years and my body still feels stuck. My problem is no longer high cortisol I’ve tested and my levels are normal. I did cheek swab and urine tests. But my issue is high DHEAS. The last time I tested it was at 238. Insulin was at 22.
I experience massive amounts of hair loss and still can’t sleep past 3:30 am no matter what I do.
In the past I’ve tried Ashwaganda to hep regulate the adrenals as well as reishi and both gave me more anxiety so I had to stop taking.
I’m currently taking:
- Myo-Inositol
- omega 3,6,9
- Zinc
- freeze dried organ cells (because I’m also low ferritin)
- Vitamin D
I’m trying to eat balanced meals and move my body, but I am so discouraged.
Is there anything that has worked for any of you with adrenal and insulin resistance specific PCOS? I need to stop this hair shedding but I don’t know what else can support my adrenals to make this happen.
Thanks for your insights.
