I just got my IUD in at my 6 week pp appointment. I was so terrified I was searching for pain comparisons like the foley ballon, membrane sweeps and the iud was a Breeze!! So so thankful it wasn’t bad at all my doc did it and said all done i was shocked it didn’t hurt whatsoever. My doc said that typically with new moms iud aren’t bad at all after giving birth. That’s 100% true. Just wanted to let new moms or any mom for that matter know it’s not as bad as you think and don’t let the internet scare you. I also got a pap done the same appointment so don’t even stress.
