My working diet - sanity check

I have been cutting weight and keeping things very simple for consistency.

For the past weeks, my diet has mostly been:

  • beef (usually ~400g per day)
  • eggs (2–3 per day)
  • cabbage / cucumbers / simple vegetables (200~600g depending on type)
  • water
  • super occasional controlled carbs like potatoes
  • rare treat meal (for example a pastry once in a while)

I also do daily cardio and some basic strength work.

The results have been good: weight is going down, body fat is improving, and I feel more in control compared to my old random eating habits.

However, my girlfriend says this is too repetitive, too meat-heavy, and not sustainable long term. She thinks “beef + eggs + cabbage every day” is too extreme and probably unhealthy.

So I wanted an outside opinion:

Is a simple high-protein repetitive cut like this reasonable for a few weeks/months, or is this too restrictive / unbalanced?

Would you keep it this way until goal weight, or start adding more variety earlier?
