Hello! It’s been a while, but I’m back with another Pokemon x Muppets drawing! (I guess this is also a late Easter drawing since it’s bunny themed 😅)
Today I’ve got Animal and some bunny Pokemon! I can imagine him being so excited when he found out about bunny Pokemon existing since he really likes bunnies.

So I have a weird relationship with The Muppets 2015 (or as I lovingly call it The Muppets Office). I started watching it two years ago and I liked some things (like some jokes, the meeting scenes, the karaoke scene, the Gonzo episode and Yolanda and Uncle Deadly) but really hated others (like the romantic drama, the way some characters were handled, the lack of Muppet zaniness (I guess that’s how I’d put it?), and especially Sam having a crush on Janice).
I stopped watching it after a few episodes because it just didn’t grab me (maybe the reason could be because I didn’t like a lot of stuff about it or because I wasn’t super into this type of show at the time). However, someone on Discord recommended that I watch the Gonzo episode, and I really ended up enjoying it! And now I see a lot of people online giving it praise saying things like how relatable it is and how it got better in the second half because they changed it up. It got me thinking about giving the show another chance (well, that and the fact that I’m running out of Muppet shows to watch since I watched and finished the OG show, Muppets Tonight, Muppets Now [which tbf I would argue is worse than this show looking back on it] and Muppets Mayhem).
So should I go for it? Should I restart it, pick up where I left off, or start where it gets better (btw where does it start to get better?)
I’d appreciate respectful feedback.
Side note: I listened to You Are the Sunshine of My Life by the Muppets and Jack White, which was released recently and I found out was actually from this show. It’s really good! I can’t stop listening to it!
So yesterday I mentioned that I wanted to build the Shack from Muppets Mayhem in Pokopia
The idea of making the building is overwhelming me a bit at the moment, so I decided to start small by gathering some things and the Pokemon who are gonna live in it.
I just got all of the band’s musical instruments (though sadly the game doesn’t have a saxophone and trumpet so I don’t know what Zoot and Lips are gonna play yet 😅)
I also got Kricketune, who is gonna be the band’s bassist Floyd Pepper! I’m currently trying to get Gengar (who is gonna be Dr. Teeth) to spawn, but it’s pretty hard. And I also need to think about what Pokemon are gonna be Animal, Janice, Zoot and Lips, but I know I’ll find them!

I just finished watching the special, and I thought it was a great farewell to the original run of The Muppet Show!
They did a lot of fun things with the movie theme and I found a lot of the sketches to be enjoyable. My favorite parts were Silent Strawberries, Wizard of Oz, Nephew of Frankenstein, Floyd and Janice singing Act Naturally and the finale with We’ll Meet Again. I like how that song and the previews from The Great Muppet Caper basically told the audience that the Muppets weren’t going anywhere even though the show was over.
And the last part with the Muppets closing the theater with Dudley Moore and Lily Tomlin inside to be both sad and hilarious at the same time.

So I just finished Season 5 of The Muppet Show, and I gotta be honest…I think it was ok, but not as great as the rest of the show 😅 Idk a lot of the episodes just didn’t hit as hard for me as those from the other seasons. But we still got some bangers like Señor Wences, Gene Kelly (which I decided to watch last) and Carol Burnett. With that said, these are my favorite episodes from the season:

And after almost three months, I have finally finished The Muppet Show! YAAAY!!!
What a great ride it was! I can’t believe I didn’t watch it sooner. It was so great to see how the show and the characters started out and how they changed and evolved over time. I wouldn’t say it’s a perfect show, but I love how every episode has something that can be enjoyed. I see why so many people love it, and after watching it I really do to!
If I had to rank the seasons from my favorite to least favorite it would be:

(I think seasons 2 and 4 are interchangeable for me, I feel the same about them)

I’m currently on the 5th season of The Muppet Show, and I’m 12 episodes away from finishing it (and the show as a whole!). However, with all the other exciting stuff that’s been going on I haven’t found the time to sit down and finish it 😅
I’m hoping to do that by next week since it’s my Spring Break
