im having a really hard time with ocd and feeling evil for a mistake i made when i was younger so i put on julien baker and violently sobbed lol but i found this performance of good news and she said “this song is about feeling like you ruin everything when you actually don’t” then she said “your mistakes don’t have to be your purpose” but i listened back and i think she actually said “your mistakes don’t have to be without purpose” and i was just wondering ppl’s perspective on that, she also said something that i couldn’t hear bc of the crowd and it might be irrelevant but if anyone listens and can tell what it says lmk lol, that line just really stuck with me and gave me a sign to keep going
