A charity has employed multiple child sex offenders. I need some help please.

Hi all, I'm using an anonymous account for this. This is in Scotland.

So basically, I work for an environmental charity that resells/upcycles items. I'm not management, I'm just a shop employee. I've recently learned that we currently have three child sex offenders working for us. Apologies, I do not have 100 percent of the information but it goes as follows:

A – found and convicted of downloading and watching child abuse content. He is on the SO register, with a couple of years remaining.

B – convicted of trying to meet up with underage girls TWICE (was found as part of a 'sting' operation). He is only allowed limited access to technology.

C – I believe also downloaded and watched abuse content many years ago. However, I believe their conviction has been spent.

As it pertains to A and B, they are not allowed to be alone with underage people or vulnerable adults. However, there was multiple times where B was alone with some of our vulnerable adult volunteers and even going into people's houses on deliveries. B especially has a chance to go back to prison if they are in contact with children. He also has put himself in situations where he is alone with some of our younger staff (albeit not underage). I'm not sure with C.

My concern is, there is a culture of complacency and lack of accountability in terms of these three people. We hire underage people and vulnerable adults as volunteers quite frequently. There is also a children's section and it's quite family-friendly with lots of children visiting us.

As a charity and relatively small business, we do not have an employee handbook or an HR department. I'm not savvy to the law but basically is this legally allowed?

Please let me know if I left out any information (I understand it is quite vague). And I hope this does not contradict any of the sub rules. Thank you.

Edited some things out to make it shorter
