I have a book, “A Handbook of Artillery” from the period. It’s in not great condition—dried leather, split boards—but it is signed by a soldier posted at Fortress Monroe and has his mathematical calculations in the end papers.

It deserves a better steward than I am. Any suggestions on where would be a good place to start?
