How do I install a bulkhead light?
Okay so I’m in a little predicament:
The bulkhead light attaches to one of those octagonal electrical boxes and can move a bit up and down using this axle type thing (called a nipple in the diagram)
My question is how do I avoid having to cut and shape my tongue and groove boards around the light and instead just install the light flush with the surface of the tongue and groove ceiling? Seems like I’m missing something
Also how do I seal my foil vapour barrier around it?
My current ceiling from top to bottom: Insulation and studs/joists, foil vapour barrier, 1x3 furring strips, 1x4 tongue and groove boards. Currently I have the box mounted to the side of one of the joists
