FA -> SFA - New Offer Advice
Hello All,
First time posting here, I am an FA in a biotech company (F500), it was my first job out of college been there for close to 2 years. I got an offer for $20k base increase as an SFA in a smaller but pretty recognizable garden/lawn-care company.
FA -> Classic FP&A responsibilities with dashboard building and being the tech guy(Tableau/PowerBI, SQL)
New role SFA -> Heavy SAP focus, S4 Hana migration partner, more monthly/quarterly close activities. Not the classic FP&A duties.
Everything else - the commute, the bonus, the benefits, and the work setting are very similar to my current company.
My questions/thoughts
How would moving away from F500 affect my career growth ?
Should I ask my boss to see if they can counter the offer and give me a promotion cause I am really comfortable and like what I do at this company. This a a very huge company and biotech is booming in the recent years.
I see my career to be in strategic operations, tech transformation within finance in the next few years. The current one has given me exposure to FP&A. The new one will give exposure to deep SAP knowledge and more business partnering and involvement in transformation activities
Would love any feedback or opinion, ask any questions that you might have and I can give a follow up response. I am only 2 years into my career. So any advice from the experts would be appreciated
