Every year a Robin makes a nest fairly close to the ground, and every year her eggs get taken. I've never seen a successful breed from her. So I watch her nest every year in the hopes of baby Robins. This year, I saw a blue Robins egg in the grass 15 feet from the nest. I was immediately concerned, so when Mama bird was away for a bit, so I quickly snapped a pic of inside the nest. And there were fairly large baby birds in there!? I was surprised! But then I got to thinking, 'Why are these baby birds so old and I'm finding eggs on the ground? I think the only conclusion is that these are parasite birds. And if they are, should I do anything? Or, let nature do nature? What's the proper course of action here?
