Hi everyone, I need some creative DIY advice to fix a snapped steel frame on my pet stroller.
Context:
- Location: The break is at the bottom part of the frame, near the wheels, specifically in the area that supports the lower storage basket.
- Safety: It’s not part of the main seat where the dog sits, so I'm looking for a sturdy fix to hold the weight of groceries/bags.
- Previous attempt: I tried rubber adhesive, but it snapped again almost immediately.
- Constraint: No welding shops nearby. I have basic tools at home.
I was thinking about using a metal sleeve (pipe) to bridge the break or maybe hose clamps with metal splints. Since it’s near the wheels, it gets a lot of vibrations.
Does anyone have a "hack" or a specific product (like a certain epoxy or clamp method) that would work for this kind of stress point?
