Starting soon!

Hey everyone!

I just got word today that I was approved for the scholarship program and have now completed my enrollment. I’m genuinely excited about taking this step, and now find myself really looking forward to June 1st when I’ve spent a lot of my life over the past several years just trying to make it to the next day.

If you’ve been in this program for a while, what are some tips you would give to someone just getting started?
If you’re also starting soon, what are you doing to help yourself prepare?

I have already been reading through this sub a bit and have found some great ideas, but I’m curious what else people have to say!

I think I am most excited about the potential for personalized learning - I have ADHD and am on the autism spectrum, so sometimes I struggle with more traditional learning methods. I was previously doing an online program with a local university and ended up having to withdrawal because I couldn’t figure out how to make the material work for my brain, even using several accessibility options.
Part of me had decided that maybe I was just too old to go back to school (currently 39) and I would never be able to get a degree no matter how much I wanted to. I am so glad I decided to try what felt (to me) like a long shot and now have what feels like a very promising second chance!
