Why’s it gottta be disrespect all the time?

J Cole said in his song sideline story way back in 2011

“you'll never play me like LeBron vs. Jordan
Twenty years, wonder who they gon' say was more important
Both changed the game, came through and made a lane
Who's to say that who's greater, all we know, they ain't the same.”

It’s so crazy to me how we all can’t respect other artist bc of something our fav artist did or didn’t do with others. They’re all great and I don’t listen to Kendrick but I can sure as hell respect the craft and lyricism he puts out. If you’re not the artist then what’s it matter. We can enjoy all aspects of music front and back as listeners. Cole so simply references LeBron and Jordan about how they’re both great and did their thing and he even says in other songs that 2 legends can co exist but yet people argue LeBron or mj this and that. I feel it’s even deeper than that though bc this is how America regularly operates anyways. Kamala was prob a good idea for president but we got trump which is also great but yet it’s all divided. Sad the world is this way and we’ll never fully develop as a species if we stay this divided.
If aliens are actually real then no wonder they haven’t showed themselves bc we can’t even accept that the people across the ocean are different than us. Absolutely madness imo but we can discuss it here. Thanks yall.
