For my (M, 80kg) 45th birthday I want to gift myself my very first pair of blades (I rented a few times when I was teenager and I had a blast every time).

My wife is against it, saying that it's dangerous for my age and I'll risk my neck.

My 8yo kid is intrigued (daddy, I've never seen people of your age skating 😅).

Personally, I think it will be a very nice and above all fun workout at my age and we could bond even more, skating together 😁
