This whole 5500 narrative is being circulated by that chasmish guy on insta, he just wanted to create panic and get in as much as admissions possible. According to a Report of TOI, their were 9073 pilots employed by airlines in 2020. Latest report no is 13989. Many joined private airlines, NSOP, became instructor, i mean any sane guy would do the math instead of believing the narrative.
