Are you given a speech by your psych Everytime you need a benzo refilled?

It’s been 9 years I’ve been on klonopin. I’ve been grandfathered in to be able to get it prescribed with my now psychiatrist and Everytime I need a refill I am met with this speech “you are so young (32), there’s tolerance that can happen, how are you taking this? We really need to get you off… and yet I’ve tried LITERALLY everything and there’s no alternative so he just keep refilling.

I’m on it for panic attacks, and I have other pain issues like vulvodynia, back pain, headaches, numb itch that it helps with a lot. I see 2 pain doctors, neurologist and a Rhumetologist.

I’ve tried so many pain meds too that didn’t work.

Just now being referred to pain pharmacist but there’s no guarantees anything will work and get me off it. I’m willing to try though and doing my due diligence to try and get me off it.

Does anyone else deal with anything similar from their psych and have cormorbiddities?

Never failed a drug test btw and the speeches just make me feel horrible for taking it.

Has anyone seen a pain pharmacist?

Just got a referral today as I’ve tried many meds that failed for pain.

I have two meds that work for pain klonopin and ambien but obviously doctors don’t want me on that long term so I’m trying my best to look for an alternative.

Was it helpful?

Looking for something other than klonopin to help cfs

I have fibromyalgia and cfs. Also vulvodynia/anxiety/panic disorder/migraines/adenoymyosis.

I have tried so many meds for fibro or pain and none of them have worked.

I have been on benzos for about 9 years. Yes I said 9 years (I know). My psych has been prescribing it but and gives me shit most of the time reminding me of the dangers which is why I’m trying to find something else.

I would not care about getting off and have even been able to taper and took a month break once easily, but when I’m off of it all my symptoms come back.

I have tried sooooooo many medications. From pain meds to depression meds you name it.

One med that could only make my cfs/pem symptoms better was ambien. It would actually wake me up not put me to sleep most of the time.

Anyone have this experience and recommend anything?

  1. Female.

Did a hormonal iud make your migraines worse?

I’m scheduled to get a IUD Liletta since I have adenomyosis and I’m worried it might make my migraines or headaches worse..

Anyone experience this?

What are you doing when your migraine isn’t really going away?

I get Botox injections 33 injections every 3 months. Jaw injections included.

Still get migraines and am prescribed 8 nurtec a month.

Lately it’s been migraine after migraine and even after nurtec isn’t really settling it or if it does I’m then I’m stuck with a headache.

Today I tried naproxen and didn’t get relief from my headache and it was hurting so bad I said ok idk how much longer I can wait let me take klonopin odt. Yes it made it feel somewhat better but of course I just slept. Woke up again later with a migraine/headache.

During these periods too I sleep a lot. Maybe only stay up for 5 hours of the day but then sleep my head hurts so bad.

What’s your day like? Be honest.

I’m in bed majority of it. Eat the easiest stuff that doesn’t require cooking. I’m just managing symptoms left and right. Stressing about how I never feel good. Stressing about how I can’t work, how I’m going to pay for things. If I’ll get approved for ssdi.

I’m getting put to sleep in about 2 months for a liletta IUD to help minimize constant spotting and front/back cramps.

Can anyone please tell me their experiences?

Thank you.

I’ve been getting severe soreness after doing activities that I didn’t think would even make me sore.

I walked up one level incline in a parking garage and my butt muscles felt so sore the day after.

It hurt so bad I was so restless and no pain meds were working. Klonopin also only helped for a second. I considered going to the ER to see if they can figure out some sort of relief.

Next day my entire body is extremely sore not just my glutes. You would think I did so much but honestly I didn’t think I did that much.

I used to get sore and yeah it sucked, but it wasn’t debilitating like this. Now if it’s happening I can’t do anything but lay in bed trying to get the pain to go down.

I know I’m mostly bed bound, but I still walk for appointments (a lot of appts) and try to go on short walks so I just don’t get why this happens. Even after very light physical therapy it would happen. Am I deconditioned? Is it just my body now? Anyone resonate?

Currently on yaz where I’m having breakthrough bleeding for two months and constant cramps.

I’m scheduled to get a IUD liletta inserted asleep in June, but am worried it may not be effective.

Any experiences with an IUD?

I was prescribed it for cramping but it barely worked but honestly I keep trying it in hopes it will. I’m waiting on an IUD that might help but can’t been seen until mid June to be put to sleep for insertion.

I’m on day 3 of taking it in a month and it says take no more than 3-5 days out of the month.

Is there anything else anyone has tired medication wise?

Sometimes klonopin will work but not always.

I’m in a flare from doing barely anything and I’m so sore and trying ponstel (I have adebomyosis) and klonopin 2mg is not touching it. I’m tossing and turning. I’m on day two of this.

Could the ER do anything?

Any experiences? Including removal if you had it.

Thank you.

Scared to do a colonoscopy (especially the prep) and will most likely need a hysterectomy from my adenomyosis.

The fear of N and V after is strong. Scared of N and V during prep for the colonoscopy..
