I always circle back to how I price out handyman jobs for staying up to date with the market. At the same time catering to different socioeconomic markets and different stakeholders (Homeowners, investors etc)

My typical pricing is $125 first hour then it’s $50/hr. Of course that also depends on the feel I get from certain clients after talking to them.

Just did a job this morning to remove&replace (1) exterior light, (1) Vanity Light and install a new circular wall mount medicine cabinet. Easy stuff; took about 1hr and 45 mins which includes setting up, talking to customer, installs and clean up, plus 35 mins travel time. I charged 3 hours which comes out to $225.

Also, sometimes we have certain projects that takes more time than meets the eye for non handy people. So I find myself charging less than what I actually did so they don’t question the work but in reality it requires that much time to do it right with quality and reliability. What ya’ll do when it comes to that? Charge what you actually did or you take some off?

Just looking for some Saturday chat
