Hello everyone, I just wanted yalls thoughts and what exactly I should expect after the semester ends. I’m currently a Sophomore and atm I have a 2.756 after a REALLY rocky fall 2026 semester. I finally got all my shit together this semester after I had a hard time navigating my new ADHD diagnosis and accommodations. I spent this semester trying to recover my GPA, with my grades at the moment being an 95%( intro to theatre), 86.09%(Geology 1), 86.77%(calc 3), C (uni physics 2) and a 100% attendance rate for the Physics 2 SEP. My current expected GPA is a 2.87, but my goal was to get it to a 2.9/3 by the end of the semester.
My biggest concern was Physics 2 so i’ve been busting my butt off trying to get better at it, but my advisor essentially stated that I wrote a very solid statement of purpose and my engineering prof recommending me helped my application however the only reason why they declined my last application was because of my GPA. She mentioned that if I were to show improvement that the committee would view my application more favorably.
I understand how competitive Cullen is, so this semester or my next semester in all honesty might be my last chance to transfer before I’d have to go with my backup major (Environmental Science). I also picked up the Energy Sustainability minor not only because I’m interested in the minor, but to help add classes to increase my GPA.
So in all honesty how cooked am I?
