Help with eyebrow grow out and shaping rehab? Need recommendations!

So weird request - my face and brows are a bit asymmetrical, and I’ve been wanting to work with an esthetician to give them full control of my brows.

I won’t touch them for 6-8 weeks, and they could help let them grow out evenly and teach me how to shape them. I’d go once a week or two to get them cleaned up.

Is this a service that sounds familiar? I work downtown and live near commerce/pico rivera, so anywhere between those spots on the 5 fwy is ideal, but also willing to go to Long Beach!

My domestic flight itinerary just dropped in price by over 50% - SkyExpress: ATH-JNX August 2026

I am planning a trip for August and originally had 2 ferry tickets from Athens to Naxos. I paid $350 (2 people round trip) and was committing to 10 hours of travel time in close proximity to long flights to and from the US.

Athens to Naxos round trip plane tickets were AT LEAST $500 USD, and that’s for early AM/late PM flights, no checked bags, no preferred seating, etc., so the ferry plan stayed.

I decided to still keep an eye on ticket prices from Athens to Naxos since ferry tickets are within full refund window.

I check today and my tickets were literally HALF the price. And no, I was not looking at the round trip cost for 1 person instead of 2. I got both our plane rickets that INCLUDE checked baggage, 1A/1B seats, lounge access, for $25 more than what I would’ve paid for the ferry. Total.

My ferry refund is now processing and I can book Acropolis tickets for the morning instead of being restricted to the afternoon like everyone on this sub suggests.

Thought I’d share in case anyone planning a summer trip was holding out for costs to drop. BOOK BOOK BOOK BOOK this isn’t an ad, just a happy American 20-something who can enjoy 8 more hours of Greece with her mama.

Taking a flight later this year with my mom and on our way back, we have a 1:45 layover at ORD. Will we need to pass through customs and recheck bags?

Both flights are booked on the same ticket through United. We are US citizens with global entry. Can I ask the gate agent in Athens to check our bags through to LAX?

Wondering if I made a mistake choosing a shorter layover. Thanks!

Hello r/candlemaking!

I am hoping for some advice for sourcing 3-4 jars to make some candles for personal use.

So far, I’ve gathered that thick, wide mouth jars are the best to use. I wanted to go to the thrift store to look for some cheap glassware, and would like some advice about what to look for and what to avoid.

It seems like Ball jars are a safe option, as well as tempered glass. I will test anything I buy in my oven at 425° with a gradual cooldown for integrity.

Thank you!

Considering buying plane tickets to get from Athens to Naxos instead of using the ferry, and the most economical option right now looks like Sky Express.

It didn’t take long for their reputation of losing checked bags to become clear, so I was wondering what recent experiences were like. I plan on getting AirTags for each piece of luggage we take on this trip, but I do NOT want go through the hassle of repurchasing the contents of two suitcases on Naxos and going without necessities.

Is Sky Express worth it? I’m less concerned with delays since it’s only a 45 minute flight and they seem to run that route frequently throughout the day. I also understand it may not be the comfiest seat, but again, 45 minute flight.

Thanks!!

Looking for recommendations:

- linen skirts, dresses

- sandals that will survive walking around the city and hold up against sandy beaches while not killing my feet or needing to be thrown away after

- anything else that was useful during your trip!

Planning to buy AirTags and some Turkish beach towels already.
