Okay so I’m just putting two and two together.

I usually get really bad seb derm flare ups when stressed. Usually without fail- moving, finals week, burnout at work, etc.

I recently completed my masters degree and due to some personal issues that were happening during my final and most stressful year of the program, I was waiting for a flare up… but it never came.

I have been in year two of using a zinc oxide based sunscreen. It’s Korean skin care, so they did whatever magic they do and the sunscreen is light, airy, hydrating and akin to actual skin care.

I’m wondering if using the sunscreen daily for years has prevented flare ups. From what I have read it’s not great at treating active rashes compared to zinc pyrithione, but maybe zinc oxide is good at prevention when used regularly kind of like how vitamin c is good for immunity when taken daily instead of taking only when cold/flu symptoms first appear?

For context- OP shared that the ebike was altered with an illegal motorcycle engine. He was under his mom’s care at the time it happens. The mother knew about the illegal engine; so is also getting legal action taken against her. The boy’s parents are divorced. None of the details about how custody for the boy is split have been made public.

I see comment after comment saying Nate’s character is “neutered” and how much people hate it.

I beg to differ.

In high school Nate was a big fish in a small pond. Due to his household dynamics he learned early on how to manipulate at a more sophisticated level than his peers, giving him more power over them. This gave him a sense of superiority that was never *really* challenged… until his affair with Cassie, but more on that later.

Now he is in the real world, learning that his power over others doesn’t extend as far as they did in high school, his tactics don’t work on every body anymore.

He’s now a small fish in a big pond, and can no longer skirt accountability like he used to. He was likely thrown into the depths prematurely in regard to running his dad’s business, clearly not fully prepared to do so effectively and without clear guidance.

Now to Cassie- for the bulk of what we saw of their relationship i season 2, he held the upper hand. But we started to see glimpses of her gaining ground on him. We see this primarily in their argument where she exclaims “I’M CRAZIER!!!!”

I think we can take her for word there. We haven’t seen what has happened in the years that have elapsed since then preceding season 3, but we can ascertain that she leaned into that craziness, learned to leverage her own budding manipulation tactics (which were appearing in season 2 in her interactions with Maddie before Maddie knew about the affair with Nate). With Nate loosing some arrogance and confidence from being knocked down by the real world, Cassie was able to gain more of the upper hand.

So it is not without complete logical reasoning that Nate is the way he is in season 3.

Okay Ted talk over.
