The short version is that most “marketplaces” online aren’t really marketplaces. They make you bring your own traffic, they take big cuts, and they don’t protect sellers. I wanted to build something that works more like a real bazaar where both creators and regular sellers actually get seen instead of being buried behind algorithms.

I also explained why I built the whole thing on Stripe. Safety is the main reason. Stripe holds people accountable and removes most of the scam issues that usually ruin digital markets. Without Stripe the platform wouldn’t even make sense. I wanted to make something that feels safe for both sides, not another risky payment link.

I built a small alternative to Gumroad this month and I’m looking for a few creators to test it while it’s in beta. It’s called BuyAndSell.market, and the goal is to fix the parts of selling digital products that slow creators down.

The platform uses Stripe for verification and payouts, so there are no PayPal holds, freezes, or random payout delays. Everything is handled through Stripe’s verified flow.

It supports limited drops, meaning you can set a quantity and run controlled releases instead of endless listings. Every purchase triggers automated delivery, and buyers receive their files within 15 minutes without you sending anything manually.

The platform fee is 5% during beta, and I’m planning to lower it as I refine the system and get more real usage. No 10% cuts, no complicated setup, and no manual sending.
