First Shotgun
I just picked up my first BP shotgun from a pawn shop. I have a BP revolver and rifle, and always wanted a shotgun. It doesn't have much in the way of markings. The only words I can find on it are on the top saying "REAL TWIST." Anyone have any tips on how to disassemble/clean or maybe when it was made? Currently doing research now on it. It looks to be a 12ga although nothing I can find says it is. I shined a flashlight down the barrels and both are smooth bore, also surprisingly clean. The ram rod looks very beat up and has a screw (I'm assuming an extractor) crimped on one end, but it looks almost like it broke off at one time and someone crimped it back on. The ramrod seems kind of short by maybe 2 inches from the length I'd expect it to be. Look forward to learning how to use it and shooting it.
