This puzzle is created based on the rules from Golomb's game. There is only one correct path to win. As noted in the title, your available pieces are in the below piece tray. These pieces can be flipped or rotated. This is shared between you and your opponent. If you put a piece on one of the available spaces, but your opponent is able to place another piece in another available space, and there are no additional moves for you to play, then you didn't solve the puzzle / lost the round. What is the correct next move, assuming that the opponent will know what their best next move would be? Credit goes to the deadblock.app for this puzzle.

Good morning, good afternoon, and goodnight! I've been working on a puzzle game called DEADBLOCK. DEADBLOCK is a free strategy puzzle game where two players take turns placing pentomino pieces on an 8×8 grid, trying to be the last piece to play.

Think of it like competitive Tetris meets Chess, with a cyberpunk coat of paint.

**What's in it:**

- Online multiplayer with ELO matchmaking

- AI opponents (easy → expert) for solo play

- Speed puzzle mode with a ticking clock

- Weekly challenges with a global leaderboard

- Hand-crafted creator puzzles across 4 difficulty tiers

- Live spectating — watch friends play in real-time

- Works on any device — it's a PWA, installs from the browser

The simple rules hide deep strategy:

→ Block your opponent's pieces

→ Force them into dead zones

→ Leave yourself escape routes

→ Be the last to play a move

We would love to have your feedback, especially on the AI difficulty curve and creator puzzles. Thanks for checking it out!
