Help with rigidity

Hi everybody!

Im looking for some advice on understanding rigidity. Im from the UK and bought the workbee Z1 in the November sale 1500x1000 (not set up yet, waiting to move house in a few months which has a big nicely built garage for it). I recently also discovered the PrintNC and Im thinking of upgrading my Z1 to feature some components of the PNC. In terms of the 75x50x3 rectangular section recommended, the Y-axis moment of inertia is actually the same as the aluminium extrusion for the Z1. Its the X-axis moment of inertia that differs significantly.

So for the Y-axis of the machine in my drawing,  the existing extrusions shoe be perfectly fine, its the X & Z axis that would benefit from the RHS, does everyone agree, or am I misinterpreting it?

Also has anyone filled any extrusion with resin or sand or cement or something to increase rigidity?

Thanks!
