Slow burn and touch starved
Two of my favorite things in a romance book are one (or both) characters being touch starved so any contact meaning a lot to them, and a slow burn/yearning over time.
Also I would love it if they did not believe the other person could be into them, for at least a while in the book. When both characters are out to each other I feel like there’s an energy where they always know there’s a chance the other could like them, but I want them to think there is no chance. Maybe one of them is not out so that’s why they don’t believe it could happen? I don’t necessarily want it to be because they aren’t aware they are gay yet but the options are limited already so I’ll take whatever!
Only book I’ve read where this happens is Chef’s Kiss by TJ Alexander because they know each other professionally and one of them hadn’t felt the need to disclose their bisexuality. So maybe workplace romance could be a thought?
I’m open to all forms of gender and sexuality that could be considered a sapphic romance book!! Please help me!!
