Went to KI yesterday and was again disappointed by The Beast.
Not even touching the re-track. This was the second season I have ridden with the brake run in the first half. It absolutely nukes the ride. The first drop is great, but when you hit that brake run it slows the train to a crawl. It took out the best curve IMO that felt fast, and uncontrolled. When I first rode The Beast that’s when it was scariest. It was unrelenting and the only time you had time to breathe was up the second lift hill. Now, the ride feels broken into three parts, first drop, brake run, and second lift hill. The second time I rode it yesterday I only looked forward to the second half and it made me sad. lol
I might be the only one with this opinion but it’s been held back so much it’s dropped off my top 10 coaster list. At this point I can’t wait for them to RMC the thing.
