I have TLE and my seizures (history of mostly simple/aware focals and some complex (unaware)!focals and one generalized seizure. As far as I am aware, my seizures are well under control.
Here’s the thing, my language is getting messed up at least a few times a week. Expressive language. Sometimes, I have what feels like a jerk in my mouth and involuntary have a break or stutter and repeat a word. I also have had times I cannot for the life of me get a very basic word out with appropriate pronunciation. It’s so embarrassing.
Is this normal? Wtf is happening? I’m best controlled I’ve ever been, but the language issues are growing. I’m working again and am mortified when these events happen.
Is it my brain? Is it my medication? I have been on Keppra a couple of years and added small dose of Onfi at night about a year ago.
Yes, I am going to reach out to my epileptologist but curious if anyone else going through this.
