I know how to do it, I took the headlight out etc. The problem is with the first center trim nut. I guess it's a push nut. It will not unscrew. Any tricks? should I just pry it out? What size nut is it, so I can have one on hand to replace it? What a shitty set up that is.
This is what it looked like when I took my cover off. A month ago, I peeked under the cover and it was clear, so I threw the Dolphin in for a couple hours. Not much got under the cover. Then I pulled the winter plugs and Gizmos and put the filter on recirculate and poured in a half gallon of chlorine from last year. The following week I cleaned the DE grids and got the filter running, and only ran it a couple times a week on low speed (VS pump) to move the water. I've had the pool over 20 years and opened to the green monster MANY times. For the little extra effort now, it saved me hours or days of trying to clean it up. Now all I need is another 15 degrees!
