One of my elderly neighbors sent me the photo linked below of her back-deck beam (it's structural and pressure-treated) and is looking for advice. What's the general consensus on repairing this? Could it just be filled, or is she looking at sistering for repair?
Thanks for any advice I can pass along. She lives alone and comes to me for help with all of her home repair issues.
