I (31, M) am currently waiting to hear back from my primary doctor, but I wanted to share my experience in the meantime. I have been taking Cymbalta for about a year now. At the start, it was great, I felt better and everything was more interesting. Eventually, things faded and I kept upping the dose until I reached 40mg which I am at now.

I took the 40mg with minimal effects for about 5 months until recently my doctor prescribed Abilify to take with it, hopefully to activate the cymbalta more. My anxiety has been absolutely killing me since starting this combo a few weeks ago. I wake up at 5am ready to jump out of bed, but there's nothing to do. At work I sit and watch the clock constantly waiting for Friday. I also think about drinking more because I'm so stressed and I really don't want to be abusing alcohol.

Has anyone else taken this combo? Will these feelings eventually fade? I don't know if it is the cymbalta or the abilify making me feel this way but it is pretty rough.
