Working out + weight lifting.

So I’ve gained around 10 lbs post-op (6 weeks ago). To be expected since I stopped my regular Ozempic injections, plus was not allowed to work out at all for 6 weeks while significantly increasing my protein intake for healing. But now I’m ready to shed the extra weight. I belong to Orange a theory Fitness gym. I intend to only do the cardio/treadmill classes next two weeks. For those of you who lift weights, tell me about your experience lifting after 2 months of not doing anything. Should I go with the baby weights and work up (10 lbs.). Any tips or lessons learned as you went back to your work outs. I’ve focused on allowing my body to heal, but a little stressed about all the weight gain. And yes, going back to my shots this week, so hopefully that will help.

1 month post-op! Pretty happy with recovery so far. I started my scar reduction treatment. I first use the SkinMedica Scar Recovery Gel after shower, let it dry, then apply silicone strips to all the scars. Won’t lie…it’s a process. Already dreading having to do it for months on end. Last night I just applied the gel and went to sleep and then applying the silicone strips from 8 am until evening. What are you ladies doing that is not so time intensive. The strips have to be removed daily (they become stinky/sweaty), washed an allowed to dry before re-applying. Just looking for some routine that is efficient and won’t make me a slave to these scars for the foreseeable future! 😅
