Exactly the title. I understand that sometimes it's in a joking way, but it can really get on my nerves sometimes. Especially when people genuinely believe that we are all "hiding" the "cure" for cancer so that people keep paying for treatment blah blah blah.

I'm so sick this notion that there is just a simple "cure" out there somewhere and cancer researchers are either set out to find it, or we're getting paid to keep it a secret or something. Anyone else get this from people? How do you respond?
