my PC was hitting 100°C and shutting down, so I replaced my old cooler with an new water cooler thinking it would fix the issue, but it’s still happening. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Update: my brother took everything apart and rebuilt it. >>There was no plastic film left on the cooler<< He reapplied the thermal paste and remounted everything, and now the CPU is around 66°C max 73° instead of instantly hitting 100°C.
