Hello,

I currently work in a job that offers strong benefits—three weeks of vacation, $42 per hour, a pension plan, and fully covered health insurance. The work itself is also relatively easy. However, I often feel underutilized and unable to develop or expand the skills I’m interested in. It feels like there is little opportunity for professional growth in this role. While the pay and stability are great, I’m looking for something more challenging and fulfilling. Also, the people I work with can be unprofessional and lack higher level education. On paper, my resume is better than my lead.

At the same time, I’m nervous about transitioning into the corporate world since I don’t have experience working at large companies. I’m also close to finishing my MBA, and I don’t want that effort to go to waste. I started this job at the same time as my MBA program, and now that I’m about to graduate, I feel like I need to make a decision about my next step.

I also don’t have a strong professional network, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I’m 9-5
