Hi everyone,

I currently have an ongoing Non-Express Entry PR application in process. While that application was ongoing, I also had a separate CEC Express Entry application, which was recently refused.

I am now preparing a webform/update letter to disclose this CEC refusal to IRCC to keep my non-express entry file accurate and transparent.

My questions are:

Is it necessary to include the exact reason for refusal in the disclosure letter, or is it enough to simply state that the CEC application was refused? Should I proactively attach the refusal letter, or only provide it if requested later?

There was no finding of misrepresentation/criminality/etc. — just trying to understand what level of detail is generally recommended in these updates.

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has dealt with something similar. Thanks!
