i’m fairly certain i speak for a very small percentage of people when i say we don’t need more dinosaurs. while i do believe we are owed all the dinosaurs from JWE2 not to mention frontier making unkept promises that they’d release dinosaurs every so often, i actually just want more from what we already have. we have amazing terrain tools, nice graphics, and family units now. we have deep water.
we have just about everything we need to make a great game. we literally just need more FROM the dinosaurs we currently have, not more dinosaurs.
i want see herbivorous herds sticking together and migrating in search of food/safety. even a panicky dinosaur should be able to relocate the herd through vocalizations. i want to see ceratopsids defending their young instead of watching them get run over by predators. for the love of GOD PLEASE MAKE SAUROPODS MORE DEFENSIVE. we have deep water but only a very small fraction of our dinosaurs make any use of it. lets get some pterosaurs fishing out of the deep water. lets get some dinosaurs interacting with other species that they like.
another idea i have is that we could bring back insectivore feeders for baby carnivores, scavengers as well as any other animal it would feed. it’d also be nice to see solitary and pack hunters use the grass and brushes to stalk, ambush, and hunt their prey.
this game has TONS of potential but its really hard to enjoy building and making an ecosystem for dinosaurs that don’t act like dinosaurs. whats the point of giving us new (and old) dinosaurs when the ones we have aren’t even doing enough?
