If there are no planes to kill, what do I do with my interceptors? Do I patrol around the airbase, patrol around my army stacks or something else?

As per title. The game is very centred around artillery stacks and planes, so that is probably the biggest use of infantry. The only other use would maybe be to defend cores alongside AA and AT, but that can also be overcome by a good tank/artillery stack.
