I'm a junior software engineer currently doing all my heavy lifting on a Windows desktop using WSL2. It's a great setup, but I'm looking for something powerful as my portable workstation when I'm out of the house. Currently im using Asus Vivobook S14 flip (13XXU, 16GB). I'm heavily considering a MacBook, but I'm a bit worried about the "friction" of switching between OSs every day.

I primarily work with full stack development (intermediate level), ai engineering and automation, and I usually live in VS Code.

I want your genuine opinions/experience. Also which MacBook configuration will be the best for me?
