Picked up a cheap sportster that runs pretty good but its got some top end rattling it seems. New to the whole harley world but ive been turning wrenches for a while. Heard primary chain noises can radiate to top end but put a stethoscope to the primary case and its quiet. Louder in the rear cyl but its still there in the front. Think it probably smoked a lifter but is there a good way to tell other than just tearing it apart and looking?
