New contract is $45 on the check and 80+ package but just a big thing through the air is carpenters are the lowest paid trade and I laugh about it. Local 687 Detroit only unions that pay more is operators, UA, and Ibew. Everyone else is at similar rate or lower than us. Every trade I just mentioned is about 5-10 more on the check which don’t get me wrong is a lot of missed out money over your career but can still build a good life as a carpenter. I guess prevailing wages vary state to state if your a travel guy you’d probably would want to get into one of the top unions but the carpenters is great way to start off in construction and move up the ladder
