Am I the only one that doesn’t like the vibes here more than others?
It feels like I’m back in high school here sometimes but at the same time I am in the front end. Supervisors are teachers, employees feel like students, Managers feel like principles. I think this is a good company to make great money and amazing benefits! But sometimes It feels like I’m giving my whole entire late 20’s early 30’s away to be here 8 hours a day when I could be in school getting a degree in something I love! Does anyone have any experience trying school and just settling for Costco? I have been known to be an over thinker but I just know it’s so much in this world then this company to work for. But I’d hate to leave and wish I never did. To be fair this is my first ever retail experience so take it easy on me haha, Just trying to get some insight. I love the hours and I get 8 a day almost whenever because this store is understaffed like most locations. But I do also have to take care of my grandma and be for there for recently which has been pretty inconvenient closing every night. I know they hired me for my availability but sometimes in life change unexpectedly! I tried to speak with managers but it seems that I can’t get any earlier shifts because I’ve only been here a year, and there are people who has been here longer and still have to close. Is there anyway I could get that taken care of by anyone else or do I just have to wait until my turn is up? Thanks guys!
