Anyone have one of these and feel like the steering damper does basically nothing? Even on the highest setting it feels no different than on the lowest.

Just picked up a new gsx-8r today, and I notice that around 3k - 4k revs the engine seems to have some kind of rattle / cam chain / valve rattle noise under throttle. I don’t think I am lugging the engine as it seems to have plenty of power and torque there, but the noise is worrisome.

This doesn’t happen when stopped, only under load while giving throttle.

is this normal for these engines or should I be concerned?

I haven’t heard any reviewers talk about this and in searching, I don’t hear anyone complaining or discussing this. I have had a few 270 degree parallel twins and I have never experienced this issue.
