On April 7th I was diagnosed with diverticulitis. By April 10th hospitalized with a fever and extreme pain. They said it was uncomplicated but kept me at the hospital for 2 days on antibiotics and sent me home with yet more antibiotics. Finished them all up. Ate a bland boring diet. Started to feel somewhat better. Had a CT and they said much better than the previous CT and I was good to go.

Yesterday I had a pizza. Light sauce. Extra cheese. Steamed broccoli.

Today... Sorry this is gross... A very large bowel movement (Not diarrhea). On the toilet paper... Light pink blood and mucus. Wiped several times and still more blood and mucus.

Call the GI doctor He can't see me till August. The nurse practitioner can see me May 20th. And here I am bleeding?! No fever. A little bit of abdominal pain but nothing like it was with the April disaster.

Should I head to the hospital?! I only got to speak with the receptionist at the GI doctor and she said if I bleed more maybe she could convince the office manager to get me double booked somewhere with the nurse practitioner. This office is awful.

I hate to rush off to the emergency room. Especially without a fever. But having diverticulitis in April also scared the hell out of me as it was my first time.

Can't decide whether I should head to the ER anyways or wait for further symptoms. In my area once you see one GI doctor you are stuck with that doctor for another year or two before another one will see you. Very much a good old boy system.

Anyhow going into my birthday weekend thinking I'm going to be having broth. Should I have not eaten solid food a month out?!

I have an Android phone. Samsung 23+. I use voice to text to dictate a message. Almost every time after I hit send the exact same message is now in the box. I have to use my backspace key almost every time I use voice to text so I don't have the same message in the box again. I have tried clearing my cache. Extremely inconvenient. Help!

On April 7 after having extreme lower abdominal pain and a fever of 101.1 I went to the ER. Mild diverticulitis.. first case. After not feeling better by Friday and having a fever still I was admitted to the hospital. Discharged by Sunday on a liquid diet. A CT scan this week showed the area is no longer inflamed. I had two colonoscopies in 2025. The GI doctor even after the CT scan showed everything was resolved wants to do another colonoscopy in June. The colonoscopies I had in 2025 were both normal. I can't get a good reason to do another colonoscopy. Not asking for medical advice so much as what you would do if you did not want to endure another colonoscopy particularly. Sometimes I think the GI doctors line them up like cattle.. The prep is brutal for me... Yet high risk offending this guy if I don't concur..
