Hey folks!

I rarely post on Reddit, so forgive me if it’s in the wrong spot.

I bought recently a new monitor for my dual laptop setup (personal/work). Because it is a hassle to plug/unplug the mouse & keyboard every time I switch, I wanted to get one with a KVM switch.
I did few research and found the LG 34U650A-B that was supposed to have one. It’s not really advertised as such but LG support confirmed it had one. It was fitting both my budget, size, curvature ratio and specs for casual gaming needs

I received it today and tried to setup the KVM. I used to have an external so I was expecting to connect 1HDMI+1USB B to each laptop and connect the mouse/keyboard to the monitor.
What I am trying to do is the basics of a KVM: use my mouse/keyboard plugged on my monitor to control either laptop1 or laptop2 based on the input I select.

After inspecting the back of the monitor I see multiple ports for USB B (bottom and side) and after trying multiple combinations, I am still not able to get the mouse/keyboard (dongle connected to monitor) to control the laptop.
Only USB C seems to be successful so far. For reference, I added 2 pictures of the back of the monitor… maybe I’m missing something here.

I’ve been talking with LG support for over an hour to get little to no help on the matter. Is there anyone who has the same monitor that got the KVM to work? Or can someone give me a workaround?
